COMMUNITY KITCHEN MEETS THE NEEDS BY PROVIDING FREE FOOD (NON-USDA) FOOD BOXES 2 TIMES WEEKLY, HOT NUTRITIOUS LUNCHES 5 DAYS A WEEK. WE ALSO PROVIDE, TENTS, TARPS, BLANKETS AND CLOTHING TO THE NO INCOME/LOW INCOME WOMEN, MEN AND CHILDREN. THE "KITCHENS" POPULATION SERVED IN 2021 IS OVER 7,600 INDIVIDUALS. VETERANS 38%, CHILDREN 18%. THE OTHERS SERVED INCLUDE 44% OVER THE AGE OF 60. THE "KITCHEN" HAS GIVEN OUT OVER 414,000 LBS. OF FOOD IN FOOD BOXES, OVER 21,000 HOT LUNCHES AND 16,000 PIECES OF CLOTHING AND SURVIVAL EQUIPMENT SINCE MANY OF OUR PATRONS ARE LIVING IN HOMELESS CAMPS IN THE WOODS. WE HAVE MANY CLIENTS WHO HAVE INTEGRATED BACK INTO JOBS, HOUSING, AND ARE COMFORTABLE IN SOCIAL VARIOUS SETTINGS.

THE LA PINE COMMUNITY KITCHEN IS MADE OF THREE ELEMENTS: THE KITCHEN, THE PRODUCE STAND AND CLOTHES CLOSET. THE LA PINE COMMUNITY KITCHEN SERVED 8400 CLIENTS AT LEAST ONCE DURING THE YEAR ACROSS THE THREE DEPARTMENTS 4A. THE KITCHENS SERVED 21,000 HOT NUTRITIOUS MEALS IN 2021 AT A COST OF $1.56 PER MEAL. COVID TO GO SUPPLIES ADDED ANOTHER .36 CENTS TO THE MEAL COST.
4B. THE FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTED 414,000 POUNDS OF DONATED PRODUCE, DAIRY, BREAD, MEAT AND OTHE GROCERY ITEMS. 8400 FAMILIES VISITED THE FOOD BANK.
4C. THE CLOTHES CLOSET DISTRIBUTED 12,000 COMFORT ITEMS IN 2021 INCLUDING CLOTHING, COLD WEATHER ITEMS, HYGIENE PRODUCTS, PILLOWS, BLANKETS, SLEEPING BAGS, TARPS AND TENTS. WE ASSISTED 6500 FAMILIES AND 9800 INDIVIDUALS.
