ATTACK THEATRE FUSES MODERN DANCE, LIVE MUSIC AND INTERDISCIPLINARY ART FORMS TO CREATE ENGAGING DANCE PERFORMANCES. ROOTED IN REFLECTION, INVESTIGATION AND IMAGINATION; ATTACK THEATRE OFFERS PERFORMANCE AND CREATIVE LEARNING PROGRAMS THAT ARE AT THE INTERSECTION OF ART AND COMMUNITY.

SINCE 1994, ATTACK THEATRE HAS MAINTAINED A PRIORITY ON COLLABORATION, A COMMITMENT TO INTEGRATING KINESTHETIC LEARNING INTO THE EDUCATIONAL CULTURE, A PASSION FOR AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY INTERACTION, AND THE BELIEF THAT DANCE AND MOVEMENT ARE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF EVERYDAY LIFE. ATTACK THEATRE REALIZES THIS VISION THROUGH DIVERSE AND INTERDEPENDENT PROGRAMMING: PRESENTING SELF-PRODUCED WORKS, CHOREOGRAPHING AND PERFORMING IN COLLABORATIONS AND COMMISSIONS WITH CULTURAL PARTNERS (SYMPHONIES, OPERAS, AND MUSEUMS) AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS (SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS, NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATIONS), BRINGING DANCE AND MOVEMENT INTO THE CLASSROOM AND COMMUNITY, AND PERFORMING THROUGHOUT THE REGION, NATIONALLY, AND INTERNATIONALLY. ATTACK THEATRE HAS A 27-YEAR HISTORY OF PROVIDING ENGAGING AND PERSONAL DANCE-BASED PERFORMANCE AND CREATIVE LEARNING PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT ALLEGHENY COUNTY AND THE REGION LEADING TO A LARGE AND DEDICATED AUDIENCE THAT COMPRISES A VARIETY OF AGES, RACES, GENDERS, SEXUAL ORIENTATIONS, NATIONALITIES, AND ECONOMIC BACKGROUNDS. DURING THE 2020-21 SEASON, ATTACK THEATRE'S PROGRAMS REACHED A TOTAL AUDIENCE OF 9,152 YOUTH AND ADULTS; 6,506 OF WHOM WERE ENGAGED ONLINE THROUGH VIRTUAL OR HYBRID PROGRAMS (BOTH SYNCHRONOUSLY AND ASYNCHRONOUSLY), WHILE 2,646 WERE ENGAGED IN PERSON.
