GIVE ME SHELTER CAT RESCUE'S PRIMARY PURPOSES ARE 1) TO RESCUE DIFFICULT TO ADOPT ADULTS CATS SLATED FOR EUTHANASIA FROM BAY AREA SHELTERS, REHABILITATE THEM AS NEEDED, AND THEN PLACE THEM INTO LOVING, PERMANENET HOMES, AND 2) TO STOP THE OVERPOPULATION OF CATS THROUGH SPAY/NEUTER.

VETERINARY CARE AND MEDICATION IN 2022, 286 CATS SLATED FOR EUTHANASIA WERE RESCUED FROM SHELTERS; 237 CATS WERE ADOPTED INTO LOVING, PERMANENT HOMES; $97,709 WAS SPENT ON VETERINARY CARE AND MEDICATIONS FOR THOSE CATS AND THEY WERE REHABILITATED MEDICALLY AND SOCIALLY. WE PROVIDED THE PUBLIC AND CAT OWNERS WITH INFORMATION AND ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS ON CAT WELFARE AND BEHAVIOR AT WEEKLY ADOPTION EVENTS TO LESSEN OWNER SURRENDERS OF CATS TO LOCAL SHELTERS.

PROGRAM SERVICES CLEANING, MAINTENANCE, AND REPAIRS FOR THE SANCTUARY WHERE CATS ARE HOUSED UNTIL THEY REACH A FOSTER OR ADOPTION CENTER, AS WELL AS VEHICLE INSURANCE AND GAS FOR CAT TRANSPORTS.
