EXPERIENTIAL PLACE-BASED EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS, TEACHERS, FAMILIES, INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS INVOLVE ACTIVE EXPLORATION TO LEARN ABOUT INTERACTIONS AND SYSTEMS IN AN AGRICULTURAL LANDSCAPE. EACH YEAR, MORE THAN 8,000 PEOPLE OF ALL AGES EXPERIENCE FIELD TRIPS, COMMUNITY EVENTS, CAMPS, WORKSHOPS, PRIVATE GATHERINGS, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES. THE STAFF AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR STRATEGIC PLANNING, FUNDRAISING, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION, OUTREACH, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. APPROXIMATELY 300 VOLUNTEERS ASSIST ANNUALLY WITH PROGRAMS AND SITE UPKEEP.
