TO ASSIST VULNERABLE CHILDREN, PARTICULARLY THOSE WHO ARE ABUSED OR AT RISK OF ABUSE, ARE IN FOSTER CARE, OR ARE HOMELESS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE CREATION OF THE KUKUI CENTER, WHICH HOUSES EIGHT NON-PROFIT AGENCIES, PROVIDES A CONTINUUM OF SERVICES FOR ABUSED, NEGLECTED, HOMELESS, IMPOVERISHED, AND DISABLED CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE CENTER STREAMLINES THE PROCESS TO OFFER USER-FRIENDLY SERVICES, ALL AVAILABLE AT ONE LOCATION. THE CENTER ALSO LAUNCHED THE COMMUNITY PARTNERS PROGRAM TO CREATE PARTNERSHIPS TO SUPPORT THE CENTER'S PROGRAMS. IN 2021, APPROXIMATELY 16,000 ADULTS AND CHILDREN WERE SERVED.
