SECTION 8 EXISTING AND HOUSING VOUCHER ADMINISTRATION. FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMUNITY HOUSING COUNCIL ASSISTED APPROXIMATELY 387 FAMILIES IN OBTAINING LOW INCOME HOUSING.


RURAL PRESERVATION COMPANY ALSO HELPS TO ADMINISTER AND ASSIST LOW INCOME PEOPLE. THIS PROGRAM HELPS TO FIND QUALIFIED, SAFE AND AFFORDABLE HOMES FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES.


FEMA, COC/SNAP, AND OTHER VARIOUS GRANTS ASSIST BOTH LOW-INCOME AND HOMELESS HOUSEHOLDS WITH EMERGENCY INTERVENTION FUNDS IN THE PREVENTION OF EVICTION AND UTILITY DISCONNECTS, AS WELL AS WITH HOUSING PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE. SERVICES ALSO INCLUDE FORECLOSURE PREVENTION AND FIRST-TIME HOME BUYER ASSISTANCE.
