OUR PURPOSE IS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE EVOLUTION OF FREUD'S CORE THEORIES THROUGH OUR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN THE PSYCHOANALYTIC MOVEMENT, IN A MANNER THAT RESPECTS, REFINES, EXPANDS & SHARES OUR INTELLECTUAL INHERITANCE.

THE SOCIETY HOLDS SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMS AND SEMINARS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IN BOTH NEW YORK AND WASHINGTON DC. THE DIVERSITY COMMITTEE CONTINUED TO FACILITATE STUDY GROUPS. THE SPRING PROJECT (SUPPORT FOR PREGNANCY-RAISING INFANTS-NAVIGATING GROWTH) HELD WORKSHOPS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR SUCH AS "FAMILY BUILDING IN 2021". THE CONTINUING EDUCATION COMMITTEE CONTINUED EFFORTS TOWARD THE GOAL OF PROVIDING C.E. & CME CREDITS FOR MEMBERS AND COLLEAGUES. THE ETHICS COMMITTEE CONTINUED TO BE AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS AND A HISTORY PROJECT WAS INITIATED.
