VIRTUAL REALITY CAREER EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGY - LLEF ACTED AS FISCAL AGENT FOR A GRANT FROM THE STEINMAN FOUNDATION, AND SUPPLEMENTED IT WITH ADDITIONAL LLEF FUNDS TO FACILITATE THE PURCHASE OF TRANSFRVR VIRTUAL- REALITY CAREER-EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGY FOR IU13S INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA SERVICES PROGRAM.
ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT - FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS WHO PARTICIPATE IN ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS SUCH AS SEMINARS, EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING, AND ACADEMIC COMPETITIONS OFFERED THROUGH IU13. ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY - PURCHASE OF DEVICES, SOFTWARE, OR EQUIPMENT FOR STUDENTS IN IU13 CLASSROOMS. SOME EXAMPLES OF ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY ARE TEXT-TO-SPEECH, WORD PREDICTION, AND EVEN PENCIL GRIPS. AUTISM EDUCATION - PURCHASE OF CURRICULAR RESOURCES, CLASSROOM SUPPLIES, AND SIMILAR ITEMS TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF THE TEACHERS IN IU13 AUTISM CLASSROOMS. COMMUNITY EDUCATION/STUDENT ASSISTANCE - SUPPORT FOR ADULTS, FAMILIES, AND YOUTH TO HELP THEM MEET THEIR INDIVIDUAL GOALS, SUCH AS ATTAINING A HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY DIPLOMA, IMPROVING FLUENCY IN ENGLISH, GAINING U.S. CITIZENSHIP, AND/OR STRENGTHENING JOB SKILLS. EARLY INTERVENTION - FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN FROM AGE THREE TO AGE FIVE WITH DISABILITIES AND THE NEED FOR SPECIALLY DESIGNED INSTRUCTION. MINI-GRANTS/EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION GRANTS - GRANT AWARDS TO IU13 STAFF TO FOSTER EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION OR SUPPORT A CREATIVE PROJECT WITHIN IU13 EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. REFUGEE CENTER - SUPPORT FOR REFUGEES AND IMMIGRANTS SERVED THROUGH IU13 COMMUNITY EDUCATION TO HELP THEM ACCESS COMMUNITY RESOURCES. SOCIAL WORK FUND/SEASON OF HOPE - IN PARTNERSHIP WITH IU13 SOCIAL WORKERS, FINANCIAL SUPPORT IS PROVIDED TO FAMILIES OF IU13 STUDENTS WHO NEED CLOTHING, FOOD, DIAPERS, BILLS, RENT, AND OTHER NECESSITIES.
SOCIAL WORK FUND - PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR THE WORK OF THE IU13 SOCIAL WORKERS AND THEIR IMPACT IN THE LANCASTER AND LEBANON COUNTY COMMUNITIES. THE SOCIAL WORK FUND IS USED IN THE COORDINATION OF RESOURCES ACROSS MULTIPLE SYSTEMS IN ORDER TO ENHANCE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT. THE FUND IS USED TO ASSIST STUDENTS AND FAMILIES WITH BASIC NEEDS SUCH AS FOOD, CLOTHING, HOUSING ASSISTANCE, UTILITY BILLS, SCHOOL UNIFORMS, TRANSPORTATION, AND MEDICAL NEEDS. THIS ALSO INCLUDED HOLIDAY FUNDRAISERS TO PROVIDE THANKSGIVING FOOD ASSISTANCE AND MITTEN TREE GIFTS.
