EMPIRE CITY MEN'S CHORUS CELEBRATED ITS 30TH ANNIVERSARY THIS YEAR. IT WAS PROUD TO PRODUCE TWO IN-PERSON CONCERT SERIES IN NEW YORK CITY, BRINGING LIVE CHORAL MUSIC TO THE COMMUNITY WE SERVE. ECMC RELEASED ITS FIRST COMMERCIALLY RELEASED ALBUM, "ALL IS MERE BREATH: HAKOL HEVEL," AFTER PREMIERING THE TITLE PIECE IN CONCERT THE YEAR PRIOR. THIS PIECE, WRITTEN BY NICHOLAS WEINENGER FOR CHORUS, ORCHESTRA, AND SOLOISTS, WAS DEDICATED TO THE VICTIMS OF COVID-19. ADDITIONALLY, ECMC HELD TWO MEMBER RETREATS DURING THE YEAR TO BUILD OUR COMMUNITY AND MUSICIANSHIP. WE CURRENTLY SERVE 49 MEMBERS, AND 1,339 PEOPLE ATTENDED OUR CONCERTS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR.
