GALA CHORUSES LEADS THE NORTH AMERICAN GAY CHORAL MOVEMENT. WE ASSIST EMERGING CHORUSES AND FACILITATE NETWORKING AND TRAINING FOR ESTABLISHED GROUPS. OUR SIGNATURE EVENT IS OUR QUADRENNIAL FESTIVAL WHICH BRINGS TOGETHER OVER 150 CHORUSES AND 7,000 SINGERS FOR THE WORLD'S LARGEST LGBTQ PERFORMING EVENT.

GALA PRODUCES A LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM ANNUALLY EXCEPT IN THE YEAR OF FESTIVAL. WE PRODUCED A VIRTUAL SYMPOSIUM IN 2020 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC AND SCHEDULED OUR FIRST LIVE SYMPOSIUM SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE PANDEMIC FOR FEBRUARY 2022.
GALA PRODUCES A QUADRENNIAL MUSIC FESTIVAL FOR ITS MEMBER CHORUSES WHICH ATTRACTS OVER 150 PERFORMING ARTS GROUPS WITH NEARLY 7,000 SINGERS. FESTIVAL WAS SCHEDULED TO BE HELD IN MINNEAPOLIS IN JULY 2020 BUT WAS RESCHEDULED TO 2021 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. THE EVENT WAS CANCELLED AGAIN FOR 2021 AND RESCHEDULED TO 2024.
GALA PROVIDES A FREE CONSULTING SERVICE FOR ITS MEMBER CHORUSES REFERRED TO AS THE GALA 411 PROGRAM. THE ADVISORS AVAILABLE UNDER THE PROGRAM ARE HIGHLY EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS IN THE AREAS OF ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE, BOARD AND OTHER ADMINISTRAIVE MATTERS AND EQUITY, ACCESS AND BELONGING PROGRAMS. THE CONSULTANTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PHONE OR VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS OR IN-PERSON MEETINGS OR RETREATS. GALA PAYS FOR THE ADVISORS' TIME. IF TRAVEL IS REQUIRED THE MEMBER CHORUS PAYS FOR THE TRAVEL AND LODGING EXPENSES. DURING 2021, TWENTY TWO OF OUR MEMBER CHORUSES UTILIZED THE 411 PROGRAM.
