THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE EMPOWERMENT OF LOW INCOME DOMINICAN AND OTHER LATINA WOMEN BY PROMOTING GENDER EQUALITY, SOCIAL JUSTICE,AND PROVIDING CULTURALLY COMPETENT SOCIAL SERVICES,AND PROVIDE GROUP CHILD CARE AND EARLY HEADSTART FOR YOUNG TODDLERS.

EARLY HEAD START PROGRAM - PROMOTE SCHOOL READINESS AND PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE ARRAY OF HEALTH, NUTRITIONAL AND SOCIAL SERVICES TO ELIGIBLE PRE-SCHOOLERS AND THEIR FAMILIES, CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO THREE YEARS OLD AND PREGNANT WOMEN ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE SERVICES THE PROGRAM RECEIVED $282,817 OF DONATED SERVICES, THE SAME AMOUNT IS CHARGED AS IN KIND EXPENDITURES


EARLYLEARN, UPK AND FOOD PROGRAM SERVICES - EARLYLEARN PROGRAM PROVIDES CHILD CARE TO 68 PRE-KINDER AGE CHILDREN. THE FOOD PROGRAM PROVIDES MEAL SERVICES OF BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND SNACKSTO CHILDREN ENROLLED IN THE DAY CARE AND UPK PROGRAM.


HEALTHY FAMILIES - CONDUCT STREET OUTREACH THROUGH WOKSHOPS AND LECTURES TO TARGET POPULATION IN WASHINGTON HEIGHTS REGARDING HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION, PREVENTION OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT AND IMPROVING PARENT-CHILD RELATIONSHIPS.


OTHER PROGRAMS - VARIOUS PROGRAMS PROVIDING RELATED SERVICES SUCH AS: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICE - PROVIDES EDUCATION, SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY, EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE NAVIGATOR/ONA PROGRAM - PROVIDES EDUCATION AND WORKSHOPS FOR CITIZENSHIP DRIVE. INFORMATION & REFERRAL - PROVIDES COUNSELING, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES TO RESIDENTS OF THE WASHINGTON HEIGHTS AREA.
