DANCE EDUCATION PROGRAM - 791 STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND ADMINISTRATORS SERVED DIRECTLY THROUGH IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION WITH SCHOOLS WITH 3,401 TOTAL STUDENTS & 303 TOTAL TEACHERS AND STAFF. THE PROGRAM SERVED 15,800 INDIVIDUALS DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY. THESE PROGRAMS USED LEARNING STANDARDS AND NYC DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION ("DOE") DANCE BLUEPRINT TO DESIGN SEQUENTIAL, INTERDISCIPLINARY CURRICULA INTEGRATING DANCE SKILLS, IMPROVISATION, COMPOSITION, PERFORMANCE, THE SCHOOL CURRICULA, AND DANCE JOURNAL WRITING. 1) "PARTNERSHIPS IN LITERACY THROUGH DANCE & CREATIVITY" SERVED 10 NYC TITLE I ELEMENTARY PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN 12 PROGRAMS, 11 DURING THE SCHOOL DAY & 1 AFTER SCHOOL IN NYC'S 5 BOROUGHS. SCHOOLS INCLUDED: BRONX: P.S. 531-ARCHER ELEMENTARY, SOUTH BRONX; P.S. 595 COLIBRI SCHOOL, EAST TREMONT. BROOKLYN: P.S. 46-EDWARD C. BLUM, CLINTON HILL; P.S. 309 THE GEORGE E. WIBECAN PREPARATORY ACADEMY, BEDFORD-STUYVESANT. MANHATTAN: P.S. 15-ROBERTO CLEMENTE, EAST VILLAGE/LOWER EAST SIDE; P.S. 154-HARRIET TUBMAN, HARLEM. QUEENS: P.S. 36 THE SAINT ALBANS SCHOOL, SAINT ALBANS; P.S. 175 THE LYNN GROSS DISCOVERY SCHOOL, REGO PARK; PS 316 QUEENS EXPLORER ELEMENTARY, OZONE PARK. ADDITIONALLY, OUR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING PROGRAM (PLP) PROVIDED 30 HOURS OF TRAINING: 10 HOURS EACH OF SEMINARS, METHODS, AND PROJECT-BASED LEARNING. IT SERVED 10 MDD PROFESSIONALS: 5 TEACHING ARTISTS, 3 EDUCATION PROGRAM STAFF, 1 DEVELOPMENT STAFF, AND 1 EXECUTIVE. THEMES INCLUDED EVIDENCE-BASED IN-PERSON TEACHING AND LEARNING, NYC PUBLIC SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS TO SUSTAIN MULTI-YEAR PROGRAMS, AND RESTORATIVE JUSTICE. PLP OCCURRED ACROSS OUR 10 PARTNERING SCHOOLS AND AT MDD STUDIO THEATER 310 AT THE CLEMENTE CENTER.
