DANCE EDUCATION PROGRAM - 791 STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND ADMINISTRATORS SERVED DIRECTLY THROUGH IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION WITH SCHOOLS WITH 3,401 TOTAL STUDENTS & 303 TOTAL TEACHERS AND STAFF. THE PROGRAM SERVED 15,800 INDIVIDUALS DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY. THESE PROGRAMS USED LEARNING STANDARDS AND NYC DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION ("DOE") DANCE BLUEPRINT TO DESIGN SEQUENTIAL, INTERDISCIPLINARY CURRICULA INTEGRATING DANCE SKILLS, IMPROVISATION, COMPOSITION, PERFORMANCE, THE SCHOOL CURRICULA, AND DANCE JOURNAL WRITING. 1) "PARTNERSHIPS IN LITERACY THROUGH DANCE & CREATIVITY" SERVED 10 NYC TITLE I ELEMENTARY PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN 12 PROGRAMS, 11 DURING THE SCHOOL DAY & 1 AFTER SCHOOL IN NYC'S 5 BOROUGHS.
