SHELTERING AND HOMELESS SUPPORT DEVELOP, CONSTRUCT OR PURCHASE HOUSING TO BE USED IN THE ORGANIZATION'S HOMELESS AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
HOUSING DEVELOPMENT - IN NOVEMBER 2019, SHORE COMPLETED THE MERGER WITH ICARE, AN ORGANIZATION ENGAGED IN DEVELOPING AND OPERATING HOUSING FOR HOMELESS AND LOW INCOME HOUSING HOUSEHOLDS, IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NEW YORK, AND EXPANDED THE COMBINED AREA OF SUPPORT FOR THE HOMELESS AND NEAR HOMELESS HOUSEHOLDS. SHORE WAS ALSO ENGAGED AS THE MANAGING AGENT FOR A TWO FAMILY PROPERTY FOR THE HOMELESS DEVELOPED BY ANOTHER ORGANIZATION WHICH COULD NO LONGER SUPPORT THE OPERATION OF THE PROPERTY ON ITS OWN. SHORE CONTINUES TO SUBSIDIZE OPERATING LOSSES OF WHITE PLAINS HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FUND COMPANY AS NEEDED, SO THE ORGANIZATION CAN CONTINUE TO OPERATE ITS HOUSING FOR HOUSEHOLDS WHO WERE HOMELESS.
