SCHOOL - A YEAR-ROUND COMMUNITY ARTS SCHOOL PROVIDING CHILDREN THROUGH ADULTS WITH INSTRUCTION & TRAINING IN DANCE AND MUSIC. CLASSES ARE OFFERED TO PREPARE YOUNG STUDENTS FOR FURTHER PROFESSIONAL STUDIES, AND FOR ADULTS TO CONTINUE THEIR INTEREST IN DANCE AND FITNESS. RECITALS FOR ALL STUDENTS ARE HELD TWICE YEARLY, AND A JUNIOR REPERTORY GROUP OF SELECT STUDENTS PERFORMS SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR.
H.T. CHEN AND DANCERS - A MODERN DANCE COMPANY WHICH HAS CREATED A DISTINCT ASIAN-AMERICAN EXPRESSION BY EMBODYING ITS CULTURAL HERITAGE. THE DANCE COMPANY HAS BEEN CONDUCTING MEANINGFUL PROGRAMS TO REACH DIVERSE AUDIENCES ACROSS THE NATION; FROM INNER CITY TO RURAL COMMUNITIES, REFORM SCHOOLS TO PRIVATE SCHOOLS, YOUTH, SENIORS, FAMILIES, UPTOWN, AND CHINATOWN.
THEATER - A PERFORMING ARTS VENUE THAT PRESENTS CONTEMPORARY DANCE AND ASIAN-AMERICAN PERFORMING ARTS. THEATER PROUDLY SERVES AS AN INCUBATOR FOR NEW YORK CITY DANCE COMMUNITYS EMERGING AND MID-CAREER ARTISTS OF ALL NATIONALITIES THROUGH IT NEWSTEPS, EAR TO THE GROUND, AND CO-PRESENTATION SERIES. NEWSTEPS AND EAR TO THE GROUND ARTISTS RECEIVE A SPACE GRANT FOR REHEARSAL SPACE, AN HONORARIUM OR A COMMISSION, AND PRESENT THEIR WORK IN 3 PUBLIC PERFORMANCES.
