THE ASSOCIATION IS RECOGNIZED AS THE FOREMOST ORGANIZATION SERVING PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANTS, PHYSICAL THERAPY STUDENTS, AND IS THE FIRST CHOICE OF ITS' MEMBERS AS A RESOURCE AND CATALYST FOR DEVELOPING AND ADVANCING THE SUCCESS OF A PROFESSION THROUGH CONTINUING EDUCATION AND PUBLIC AWARENESS. THE ORGANIZATION CURRENTLY HAS APPROXIMATELY 6,800 MEMBERS.


OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE ORGANIZATION INCLUDE PROMOTING LEGISLATION AND SPEAKING FOR MEMBERS IN REGARDS TO LEGISLATIVE ACTION CONCERNING GENERAL HEALTH AND WELFARE PROGRAMS, PROMOTING AND PROTECTING THE PROFESSIONAL AND ECONOMIC STATUS AND GENERAL WELFARE OF ITS' MEMBERS.
