IS A PRIVATE, NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION SOLELY COMPRISED OF WOMEN FROM VARIOUS COMMUNITIES ON LONG ISLAND COMMITTED TO PROMOTING VOLUNTARISM, DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN AND IMPROVING COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. THE LEAGUE IS A MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION OF JUNIOR LEAGUES, INC. AND ITS PURPOSE IS EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE.

COMMUNITY PROJECTSA PROGRAM WHICH GATHERS INFORMATION TO DETERMINE THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY AND USES THE INFORMATION TO IMPLEMENT AND SUPPORT VARIOUS COMMUNITY PROJECTS EITHER ALONE OR IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT LONG ISLAND.


TRAINING AND EDUCATIONA PROGRAM TO DEVELOP LEAGUE MEMBER POTENTIAL FOR VOLUNTEERING IN COMMUNITY AFFAIRS THROUGH A PROVISIONAL PROJECT, WORKSHOPS, MEETINGS, TRAINING SESSIONS AND LEADERSHIP CONFERENCES.


THRIFT SHOP SALES OF DONATED MERCHANDISE GENERATES REVENUE WHICH IS USED TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION STATEMENT WHICH COVERS BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO OUR COMMUNITY PROJECTS AS WELL AS TRAINING AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
