TO OFFER SUFFOLK COUNTY YOUTH AND ADULTS QUALITY PROGRAMS THAT INCLUDE; CUB SCOUTING, BOY SCOUTING, VENTURING AND LEARNING FOR LIFE. CUB SCOUTING IS A PROGRAM FOR YOUNG MEN AGES 7 TO 10. CUB SCOUTING USES SPECIFIC METHODS TO ACHIEVE SCOUTING AND AIMS TO HELP BOYS BUILD CHARACTER, TRAIN IN THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF CITIZENSHIP AND PERSONAL FITNESS. BOY SCOUTING IS FOR YOUNG MEN AGES 11 TO 18. BOY SCOUTING IS A VALUES BASED OUTDOOR PROGRAM DESIGNED TO TEACH CHARACTER, CITIZENSHIP AND FITNESS TO THE YOUTH MEMBERS. VENTURING IS FOR YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN AGES 14 (AGE 13 IF COMPLETED 8TH GRADE) TO 21. VENTURING PROVIDES EXPERIENCES TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE MATURE AND BECOME RESPONSIBLE, CARING ADULTS. LEARNING FOR LIFE IS A PROGRAM TO ENABLE YOUNG PEOPLE TO BECOME RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS BY TEACHING POSITIVE CHARACTER TRAITS, CAREER DEVELOPMENT, LEADERSHIP AND LIFE SKILLS, SO THEY CAN MAKE ETHICAL CHOICES AND ACHEIVE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.
