TRAINING PROGRAMS - THESE PROGRAMS PROVIDE TRAINING, ADMINISTRATIVE AND OTHER SUPPORT TO MORE THAN 3,000 ADULT VOLUNTEERS WHO DELIVER SCOUTING PROGRAMS TO YOUTH. ONE OF THE KEYS TO THE SUCCESS OF THE SCOUTING PROGRAM IS TRAINED VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP. PROPER TRAINING DOESN'T HAPPEN BY READING A BOOK OR ATTENDING EVERY SCOUT MEETING. THE THEODORE ROOSEVELT COUNCIL AND IT'S FOUR DISTRICTS (IROQUOIS, PEQUOTT, SHELTER ROCK AND ROUGH RIDER), HAVE DEVELOPED OUTSTANDING AND DEDICATED TRAINING TEAMS TO HELP YOU, AS A NEW LEADER, TO DELIVER A PROGRAM AND CALENDAR THAT WILL BE EXCITING, EDUCATIONAL AND SAFE.
