TO BE A LEADER IN STEAM EDUCATION, LEARNING AND INNOVATION THAT WILL SHAPE THE INTELLECT, SOCIAL VALUES AND PRINCIPLES OF CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS.THE EXPLORIUM PROVIDES CUTTING EDGE, INQUIRY-BASED LEARNING EXPERIENCES FOR P-12 STUDENTS, STATE-OF-THE-ART PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR P-12 EDUCATORS, AND INVENTIVE DESIGN CHALLENGES FOR FAMILY GROUPS ALL AIMED AT ADVANCING THE LEARNING OF CONCEPTS THAT TRANSLATE INTO SKILLS THAT ADDRESS SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES.

THEIR PROGRAMS TARGET ALL COMMUNITIES, ESPECIALLY IN UNDERSERVED, LOW-INCOME, HIGHLY DIVERSE POPULATIONS. THEIR PROGRAMS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO - GIRLS IN STEM, SPECIAL EDUCATION, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR EDUCATORS, ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP AND AWARENESS, PRE-K LITTLE SPARKS EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMS AND MAKER FAIRE LONG ISLAND.
