TO SUPPORT STAFF OF LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENTS IN MEETING THEIR STATUTORY RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH PROGRAMS OF EDUCATION, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, AND BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PROGRAMS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON PUBLIC HEALTH TOPICS.
