1.THE SCHOOL OPERATES OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS THAT ARE DESIGNED TO PREPARE YOUNG PEOPLE TO BECOME LIFE-LONG LEADERS FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE. PROGRAMMING & EVENTS, WHICH AVERAGES BETWEEN 900 TO 1,000 PARTICIPANTS ANNYALLY, SUPPORTS YOUNG PEOPLE TO BECOME INNOVATORS AND LEADERS IN THE BUSINESS, GOVERNMENT AND NON-PROFIT SECTORS. 2.THE SUMMER LEADERSHIP PROGRAM ("SLP") IS THE FLAGSHIP PROGRAM OF THE SCHOOL AND THE ONE IN WHICH MOST YOUNG PEOPLE FIRST COME TO THE SCHOOL. IT BRINGS TOGETHER A DIVERSE GROUP OF 80 TO 100 HIGH SCHOOL- AGE YOUTHS FOR COMMUNITY AND CLASSROOM LEARNING OVER SIX AND ONE-HALF WEEKS. (SEE SCHEDULE O.)


THE CITY SCHOOL PROVIDED FISCAL SPONSORSHIP TO EL MOVIMIENTO, YOUTH JUSTICE AND POWER UNION, THE UNNAMED COALITION, YOUNG ABOLITIONISTS, AND CHICA PROJECT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, RELATED TO THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION TO DEVELOP YOUTH LEADERSHIP.
