THE MISSION OF WCARC IS TO PROVIDE LIVING AND WORK ENVIRONMENTS IN WHICH PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES CAN THRIVE, ENJOY A HIGH QUALITY OF LIFE AND REACH THEIR OWN PERSONAL GOALS.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

TURKEY A THON PROVIDES THANKSGIVING TURKEYS TO NEEDY WASHINGTON COUNTY FAMILIES. ALL CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED ARE USED TO PURCHASE TURKEYS FROM PARTNERING LOCAL AREA SUPERMARKETS. ELIGIBILITY AND DISTRIBUTION ARE HANDLED BY LOCAL AREA FOOD BANKS. APPROXIMATELY 2,000 FAMILIES ARE POSITIVELY IMPACTED BY THIS PROGRAM.


WCARC DEVELOPS AND PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR RESIDENTIAL, WORK AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES PROGRAMS FOR MORE THAN 100 CHILDREN AND ADULTS.
