DURING 2019 THE COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS PROGRAM HAD 207 OFFENDERS PLACED IN THE PROGRAM. THE AVERAGE PRISON SENTENCE WOULD HAVE BEEN THREE YEARS FOR THESE OFFENDERS. THE COMMUNITY CORRECTION PROGAM ACOMPLISHED A COST SAVINGS OF $428,292 FOR THE KY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS AND COUNTY FISCAL COURTS THROUGH HOME INCARCERATION. IN ADDITION TO THE MONETARY SAVINGS THE PROGRAM HELPS EASE JAIL AND PRISON OVERCROWDING. DURING 2020 THE PROGRAM HAD 90 OFFENDERS WHO ATTENDED OUTPATIENT SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT WHILE ON HOME INCARCERATION.
