EDUCATED THE PUBLIC ABOUT TEXAS' FILM AND VIDEO HERITAGE VIA ONLINE AND IN-PERSON "TEXAS FILM ROUND-UP", ONLINE EXHIBITS AND SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS. OVER 1,300 FILMS AND VIDEOTAPES WERE SUBMITTED FOR FREE DIGITIZATION BY 80 INDIVIUDALS AND ORGANIZATIONS FROM ACROSS THE STATE. TAMI'S SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS RESULTED IN MILLIONS OF VIEWS OF VIEWS OF CONTENT ACROSSSEVERAL PLATFORMS AND INCREASED WEBSITE TRAFFIC.


MADE MORE VIDEOS AVAILABLE FREE OF CHARGE ON THE TAMI WEBSITE (TEXASARCHIVE.ORG), AN ONLINE VIDEO ARCHIVE OF NEWLY DIGITIZED FILMS AND VIDEOTAPES, INCLUDING RECENTLY DISCOVERED AND PRESERVED HOME MOVIES, TELEVISON NEWS FOOTAGE, ADVERTISEMENTS AND EDUCATIONAL FILMS. APPROXIMATELY 409 FILMS AND VIDEOS WERE ADDED TO TAMI'S WEBSITE IN 2022. THE WEBSITE RECEIVED 704,831 PAGE VIEWS.


PROVIDED LESSON PLANS AND IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES ON THE EDUCATION SECTION OF TAMI'S WEBSITE. PRESENTED AT THE TEXAS COUNCIL FOR THE SOCIAL STUDIES CONFERENCE FOR EDUCATORS. SELECTED EDUCATORS AS ADVISORS FOR THE 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR VIA THE EDUCATION FELLOW PROGRAM. EDUCATORS PROVIDED FEEDBACK ON RESOURCES AND PROVIDED SUGGESTIONS FOR ADDITIONAL OUTREACH VIA THE WEB AND SOCIAL MEDIA.
