CHICAGO TAP THEATRE'S LARGEST PROGRAM SERVICE IS THE PRODUCTION AND PRESENTATION OF TAP DANCE PERFORMANCES. THE PERFORMANCES PRESENT TAP DANCE ARTISTS, CHOREOGRAPHERS, AND MUSICIANS. CTT PRODUCED LIVE PERFORMANCES IN CHICAGO ON FEB. 18-19, 2023 AND JUNE 8-11, 2023.
CHICAGO TAP THEATRE COLLABORATES WITH A TAP DANCE ORGANIZATION, M.A.D.D. RHYTHMS, AS WELL AS THE WIDER CHICAGO TAP DANCE COMMUNITY. COLLECTIVELY KNOWN AS THE CHICAGO TAP ALLSTARS, THE MISSION OF CTA IS TO AUDACIOUSLY AMPLIFY THE EXCELLENCE OF CHICAGO TAP DANCE BY CREATING AN EQUITABLE, HEALING, AND INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY THROUGH EDUCATION, PERFORMANCES, AND ADVOCACY. EVENTS WERE HELD MAY 20-21, 2023.
CHICAGO TAP THEATRE BRINGS ITS PERFORMANCES TO CHICAGO AND STATES THROUGHOUT THE US WHEN CONTRACTED BY PRESENTERS AND FESTIVAL ORGANIZERS. IN FY23, CTT PERFORMED IN CASPER, WY, DETROIT LAKES, MN AND LONE TREE, CO.
CHICAGO TAP THEATRE HAS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING THAT BRINGS TAP DANCE TO STUDENTS OF ALL AGES. CTT'S INTENSIVES ARE MULTI-DAY EVENTS AND INCLUDE GUEST TEACHERS. CTT HELD INTENSIVES IN CHICAGO ON JUNE 19-21, 2023 AND JULY 10-12, 2023. CTT ALSO BRINGS PROGRAMMING TO CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
