LAKE STEWARDS OF MAINE WORKS TO PROTECT MAINE LAKES AND TO PROMOTE LAKE STEWARDSHIP THROUGH WIDESPREAD CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN THE GATHERING AND DISSEMINATION OF CREDIBLE SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION PERTAINING TO LAKE HEALTH. LSM IS THE PRIMARY SOURCE OF LAKE DATA IN THE STATE OF MAINE, MOST OF WHICH IS COLLECTED BY HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE TRAINED AND SUPPORTED BY LSM.
