TREAD LIGHTLY AND ITS PARTNERS LEAD A NATIONAL INITIATIVE TO PROTECT AND ENHANCE RECREATION ACCESS AND OPPORTUNITIES BY PROMOTING OUTDOOR ETHICS TO HEIGHTEN INDIVIDUALS SENSE OF GOOD STEWARDSHIP. TREAD LIGHTLYS GOAL IS TO BALANCE THE NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE WHO ENJOY OUTDOOR RECREATION WITH OUR NEED TO MAINTAIN HEALTHY ECOSYSTEMS AND THRIVING POPULATIONS OF FISH AND WILDLIFE. THE SCOPE OF OUR WORK INCLUDES BOTH LAND AND WATER, AND IS REPRESENTATIVE OF NEARLY EVERY FORM OF OUTDOOR RECREATION INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO HUNTING, RECREATIONAL SHOOTING, FISHING AND BOATING. WE ALSO HAVE A NICHE IN PROMOTING SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE USE OF MOTORIZED AND MECHANIZED VEHICLES IN THE OUTDOORS.

MISSION:

THE FOUNDATION SEEKS TO PROVIDE FOR THE HEALTH, EDUCATIONAL, AND OCCUPATIONAL SUPPORT OF ORPHANS, AND TO FACILITATE THE HEALTHY TRANSITION FOR ORPHANS TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE AND CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS OF SOCIETY THROUGH EDUCATION AND FINANCIAL LITERACY.

THE FINANCIAL AND OTHER INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS FORM 990 AND ASSOCIATED SCHEDULES REPRESENTS A CONSOLIDATED PICTURE OF THE TWO ENTITIES. RRF DOES NOT HAVE AN ENTITY THROUGH WHICH IT PROVIDES PROGRAM SERVICES IN PERU. RRIF FEEDS MALNOURISHED CHILDREN AND THE POOR IN THE PHILIPPINES THROUGH LARGE GARDEN PROJECTS AND OFFERS NUTRITION PROGRAMS AND EDUCATION. RRIF'S PROGRAM SERVICES PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING TO UNEMPLOYED AND UNSKILLED FILIPINOS. NUTRITION PROGRAMS ARE SUPPLEMENTED WITH ASSISTANCE FROM GOVERNMENT AND COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS OF FOOD AND SUPPORT. RRF PROVIDES EDUCATION ASSISTANCE TO CHILDREN IN PERU. 94.5% OF PROGRAM SERVICES ARE IN THE PHILIPPINES AND 5.5% IN PERU. NO PROGRAM SERVICES ARE PROVIDE IN THE UNITED STATES.
