MISSION:

THE UTAH CENTER FOR NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION STABILIZES NEIGHBORHOODS THROUGH ITS SUBSIDIARY ORGANIZATIONS BY PROVIDING SINGLE FMAILY AND MULTI-FAMILY AFFORDABLE HOUSING, NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION, AND SMALL BUSINESS LENDING AND INVESTING.

MISSION:

UTAH CENTER FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING ACQUIRES DISCOUNTED PROPERTIES FROM FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND SELLS THEM TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WHO SERVE LOWER INCOME POPULATIONS. THIS PROCESS SHOULD SERVE TO DECREASE THE NUMBER OF FORECLOSED PROPERTIES ON THE MARKET, STABILIZE NEIGHBORHOODS, AND PROVIDE AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNITS TO LOWER INCOME FAMILIES.

The goal of this organization is to develop, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing that is available to people who qualify on the basis of income, age or disability for publicly subsidized housing e.g., HUD housing or housing assistance under Section 8 of the Housing and Urban Development Act.

The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).

SPONSORSHIP OF HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE STATE OF UTAH. THESE ACTIVITIES BENEFIT THE STUDENTS OF UTAH HIGH SCHOOLS. THESE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE ATHLETIC COMPETITIONS, ACADEMIC COMPETITIONS AND CULTURAL COMPETITIONS SUCH AS MUSIC AND DRAMA.
