PLANNED PETHOOD WAS INCORPORATED IN 1979 FOR THE PURPOSE OF REDUCING THE OVERPOPULATION AND SUFFERING OF DOGS AND CATS IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH EDUCATION AND LOW-COST SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAMS. PLANNED PETHOOD IS REPSONSIBLE FOR SPAYING AND NEUTERING THOUSANDS OF CATS AND DOGS IN NORTHWESTERN OHIO THUS ELIMINATING FUTURE LITTERS FOR THOSE CATS AND DOGS AND OFF OF THEIR OFFSPRING.

1MATTERS.ORG CREATES AND FUNDS NEW LOCAL AND REGIONAL PROGRAMS WHICH RETURN PEOPLE TO FINANCIAL AND DOMESTIC AUTONOMY. THESE INCLUDE THE LOCAL COC, STREET PAPERS IN ANN ARBOR, DETROIT AND TOLEDO, AND PROGRAMS FOR RURAL AND STUDENT HOMELESSNESS. VETERANS MATTER IS OUR FIRST NATIONAL PROGRAM.

TO ASSIST ASIAN OF ALL AGES OPTIMUM PHYSICAL, MENTAL HEALTH AND OVERCOME CULTURE, LINGUISTIC FINANCIAL AND INSTITUTIONAL BARRIERS TO RECEIVING HEALTH CARE AND SOCIAL SERVICES.
