These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

THE GREATER TOLEDO HOUSE OF PRAYER IS AN INTERCESSORY AND WORSHIP BASED MINISTRY WHERE INDIVIDUAL BELIEVERS AND WORSHIP TEAMS COMMIT TIME TO AN ASSIGNED TIME, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PRAYER AND WORSHIP.

TO PROVIDE THE PROPER METHOD OF LEARNING A SKILLED TRADE THROUGH A WELL ORGANIZED APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES GOOD PRACTICAL TRADE PRACTICES IN THE SHOP AND ON THE JOB AND ESSENTIAL RELATED TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION RECOGNIZED AS APPLICABLE TO THE OPERATION OF THE TRUCKS AND OTHER MOTOR VEHICLES IN THE TEAMSTER CONTRUCTION INDUSTRY.

ADVANCE THE ECONOMIC INTEREST OF ITS MEMBERS, TO GUARANTEE, AS FAR AS IT IS ABLE, CONSTANT HONESTY IN THE NEWS, TO RAISE THE STANDARDS OF JOURNALISM AND ETHICS OF THE INDUSTRY, TO FOSTER FRIENDLY COOPERATION WITH ALL OTHER WORKERS, AND TO PROMOTE INDUSTRIAL UNIONISM IN THE NEWSPAPER INDUSTRY.

The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.
