MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds (usually from a single source, such as an individual, family or corporation) and programs managed by its own trustees or directors, established to maintain or aid social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare, primarily through grantmaking.

MISSION:

Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL MENTAL HEALTH CARE SERVICES FROM A CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE TO BRING ABOUT HEALING TO INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES, AND FAMILIES IN THE GREATER CHARLOTTE AREA. WE BELIEVE EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES, REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY. OUR SCHOLARSHIP FUND HELPS INDIVIDUALS WITH LOW INCOME, NO HEALTH INSURANCE, AND THOSE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED A HARDSHIP SUCH AS LOSS OF JOB, SEVERE ILLNESS, OR NATURAL DISASTER.

MISSION:

ONE VOICE, INC. IS THE GAY, LESBIAN, AND GAY-AFFIRMATIVE CHORUS OF CHARLOTTE. THROUGH ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE, ONE VOICE WORKS TO INCREASE UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE OF GAY, LESBIAN, BISEXUAL AND TRANSGENDER PEOPLE. OUR ACHIEVEMENT IN CHORAL MUSIC ENABLES US TO REACH DIVERSE GROUPS TO OVERCOME MISCONCEPTIONS AND TO GROW PERSONALLY, BOTH AS PERFORMERS AND AS LEADERS IN OUR COMMUNITY. ONE VOICE PROVIDES A WELCOMING PLACE FOR LGBTQIA+ PEOPLE TO EXPRESS THEIR MUSICAL ARTISTRY TOGETHER BY PERFORMING AS A NON-AUDITIONED GROUP AND AS PART OF OUR SMALL ENSEMBLE, CHROMA.

The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in swimming, diving, snorkeling, surfing, water skiing, water polo, boating, white water rafting and other water sports. Coaching, access to a swimming pool or other facilities, sports equipment, and officials for competitions are generally included.
