THE UNIVERSITY COOPERATIVE HOUSING ASSOCIATION ( UCHA) PROVIDES REASONABLE-COST HOUSING TO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, VISITING SCHOLARS, AND FACULTY WITHIN A COOPERATIVE LIVING ASSOCIATION.UNIVERSITY COOPERATIVE HOUSING ASSOCIATION ( UCHA) IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION INCORPORATED IN CALIFORNIA ON SEPTEMBER 2, 1938. IT IS GOVERNED BY AN ELECTED BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND MANAGED BY A STAFF OF EMPLOYEES AND THE COOPERATIVE'S MEMBERS. THE ASSOCIATION OPERATES A COMPLEX CONSISTING OF THREE STUDENT RESIDENCES, A KITCHEN, CAFETERIA, AND SEVERAL COMMON AREAS, WHICH IS LOCATED IN WESTWOOD, CALIFORNIA CLOSE TO THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES CAMPUS.

MISSION:

PROMOTE THE ARTS AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF YOUNG ARTISTS BY RAISING AND DISTRIBUTING FUNDS TO THE OPERATION OF A PUBLIC ARTS HIGH SCHOOL IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY.

ECHO PARK SENIOR CITIZEN HOUSING CORPORATION, A CALIFORNIA NONPROFIT CORPORATION WAS FORMED TO OWN A 41-UNIT RENTAL HOUSING PROJECT FOR THE VERY LOW INCOME ELDERLY LOCATED IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. THE OPERATIONS OF THE PROJECT BEGAN IN OCTOBER 2002. THE CORPORATION IS OPERATED UNDER SECTION 202 OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING ACT. THE CORPORATION HAS EXECUTED A REGULATORY AGREEMENT WITH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, WHICH GOVERNS THE OPERATIONS OF THE PROJECT WITH RESPECT TO RENTAL CHARGES AND OPERATING METHODS.
