THE IMMIGRATION CENTER FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN ICWC IS A NON-PROFIT LEGAL ORGANIZATION PROVIDING FREE AND AFFORDABLE IMMIGRATION SERVICES TO UNDERREPRESENTED IMMIGRANTS IN CALIFORNIA AND NEVADA.

ICWC PROVIDES ONE MAIN TYPE OF SERVICE, WHICH IS LEGAL ASSISTANCE TO IMMIGRANT SURVIVORS OF VIOLENCE, ABUSE, ABANDONMENT, AND NEGLECT. THIS LEGAL ASSISTANCE INCLUDES DIRECT LEGAL REPRESENTATION FOR IMMIGRANT SURVIVORS, AS WELL AS THE OPERATION OF ORIENTATION PROGRAMS AND INFORMATION SESSIONS FOR IMMIGRANTS WHO MUST REPRESENT THEMSELVES IN IMMIGRATION COURT. ICWC SPECIALIZES IN AFFIRMATIVE IMMIGRATION REMEDIES SUCH AS U VISAS, AND VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT VAWA PETITIONS. ICWC ALSO HAS A STRONG FOCUS ON PROVIDING ASSISTANCE FOR UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN INCLUDING SPECIAL IMMIGRANT JUVENILE STATUS SIJS AND ASYLUM SERVICES. IN 2022, ICWC PROVIDED DIRECT LEGAL SERVICES TO OVER 10,800 INDIVIDUALS.
