WE PARTICIPATED IN MEETINGS IN TOKYO WITH PROMINENT JAPANESE BUSINESS AND POLITICAL LEADERS. THE MEETINGS WERE ORGANIZED BY OUR JAPANESE ASSOCIATE STEVE NAKADA.THE FOUNDATION PARTICIPATED IN SEVERAL MEETINGS IN WASHINGTON, D.C. WITH MEMBERS OF THE US DELEGATION TO THE INTERNATIONAL WHALING COMMISSION (IWC) IN OUR ONGOING EFFORTS TO STOP THE KILLING OF CETACEANS BY JAPAN, NORWAY, ICELAND, AND THE FAROE ISLANDS.THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED ITS PARTICIPATION WITH ED LYMAN OF THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS HUMPBACK WHALE NATIONAL MARINE SANCTUARY RESEARCHING THE HEALTH ASSESSMENT OF NORTH PACIFIC HUMPBACK WHALES.

THE FOUNDATION PARTICIPATED IN SEVERAL MEETINGS WITH MEMBERS OF THE US DELEGATION TO THE INTERNATIONAL WHALING COMMISSION (IWC) IN OUR ONGOING EFFORTS TO STOP THE KILLING OF CETACEANS BY JAPAN, NORWAY, ICELAND, GREENLAND, AND THE FAROE ISLANDS.THE FOUNDATION HELD ZOOM MEETINGS WITH OUR JAPANESE ASSOCIATE STEVE NAKADA IN OUR EFFORTS TO STOP THE NEEDLESS KILLING OF DOLPHINS AND WHALES BY JAPANESE FISHERMAN.THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED ITS SUPPORT OF ED LYMAN AND OUR RESEARCH TEAM IN THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS HUMPBACK WHALE NATIONAL MARINE SANCTUARY RESEARCHING THE OVERALL HEALTH OF THE NORTH PACIFIC HUMPBACK WHALE POPULATION.THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED LEADING ITS ECO-TOURS TO SAN IGNACIO LAGOON AND THE SILVER BANK. THE FOUNDATION CANCELED ITS BAHAMAS TRIPS DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
