LETTER OF ACCOMPLISHMENTFOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2017-2018PTA IS THE PARENT, TEACHER ASSOCIATION IN RIO VISTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THE MISSION OF PTA IS TO PROVIDE ACTIVITIES FOR ALL STUDENTS. OUR FUNDINGS ARE ACQUIRED THROUGH MEMBERSHIPS FEES, DONATIONS, VARIOUS SALES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND TWO FUNDRAISING. ONE IN WINTER AND ONE IN SPRING.RIO VISTA ELEMENTARY HAS AROUND 1000 STUDENTS THIS SCHOOL YEAR, FROM PRESCHOOL TO FIFTH GRADE. PTA RAISES FUNDS TO PROVIDE FOR FIELD TRIP TRANSPORTATION, REWARDS FOR OUR POSITIVE BEHAVIOR PROGRAM, GOAL EARNERS CELEBRATION,NO EXCUSE UNIVERSITY PROGRAM- COLLEGE T-SHIRTS FOR ALL GRADES, AND PARENTS MEETINGS TO INVOLVED ALL PARENTS IN THE STUDENTS EDUCATION AND OTHER VARIOUS EVENTS. IN THE 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR WE HAD 193 MEMBERSHIPS. WE HAD A FALL AND A SPRING FUNDRAISING WITH SEES CANDIES AND PACIFIC FUNDRAISER. WE HAD SEVERAL FRIDAY SALES TO RAISE FUNDS. WE HELD TWO BOOK FAIR AND WE HAD OUR ANNUAL SCHOOL PLAY AND RAISED MONEY TO COVER THE COST OF THE PRODUCTION. WE ALSO ASKED FOR DONATION FORM THE PARENTS TO COVER PART OF THE COST FOR THE COLLEGE T-SHIRTS AND PTA COVERS THE REST. PTA ALSO COVER THE COST FOR THE YEARBOOK THAT IS GIFTED TO EVERY 5TH GRADER. AND WE ALSO HAD OUR ANNUAL END OF THE YEAR CARNIVAL.
