PROMOTING THE EDUCATION AND WELFARE OF THE STUDENTS, PARENTS AND TEACHERS OF SAN MARINO HIGH SCHOOL; POSITIVELY IMPACTING THE LIVES OF THE STUDENTS, PARENTS AND TEACHERS OF SAN MARINO HIGH SCHOOL. EVENTS INCLUDE EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS FOR APPROX. 1200 STUDENTS, TEACHER'S APPRECIATION AND TEACHER'S WISH LIST FOR 58 FACULTY MEMBERS AND 21 SUPPORT/STAFF MEMBERS, COFFEE AND CONVERSATIONS FOR EACH GRADE LEVEL, AND PTSA SCHOLARSHIP. DESPITE NOT HOLDING THE SECOND LARGEST FUNDRAISER IN THE SPRING DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WE STILL SUPPORTED ACADEMICS, ARTS, ATHLETICS AS WELL AS ACTIVITIES ON CAMPUS. WE PROVIDED CHROME BOOKS, VAPE DETECTORS AND SUPPORT OF THE SCHOOL WELLNESS COMMITTEE FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL STUDENTS OF SMHS. AS WELL AS EQUIPMENT FOR THE SCIENCE DEPARTMENT, ENGLISH DEPARTMENT AND CTE MEDIA ARTS THAT WILL BENEFIT ALL STUDENTS OF SMHS. WE ALSO ENRICHED THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT BY PROVIDING EQUIPMENT FOR BADMINTON AND CHEER WHICH BENEFIT APPROXIMATELY 600 STUDENTS. THE PTSA SUPPORTED THE ARTS BY PURCHASING MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, PA SYSTEM, PREP COSTUMES AND TARPS THAT ARE USED BY THE MUSIC PROGRAMS AND CHORAL DEPARTMENT WHICH BENEFIT APPROXIMATELY 600 STUDENTS. PTSA ALSO SUPPORTS ACTIVITIES SUCH AS ASB FOR PAYING FOR CONFERENCES AS WELL AS STUDENT CLUBS/TEAMS, SUCH AS THE SCIENCE TEAM AND ROBOTICS TEAM WITH EQUIPMENT. VOLUNTEER HOURS TOTALED 44,092 HOURS.
