THE MISSION OF NO LIMITS IS TO TEACH DEAF CHILDREN THE SKILLS TO SUCCEED IN SCHOOL AND IN LIFE THROUGH ITS NATIONAL THEATER GROUP, EDUCATIONAL CENTERS AND POP UP SATELLITE LOCATIONS AT NO COST.

FOUNDED IN 1996 BY CNN HERO, DR. MICHELLE CHRISTIE, NO LIMITS FOR DEAF CHILDREN IS THE ONLY AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM IN THE COUNTRY THAT PROVIDES INDIVIDUAL THERAPY, LITERACY, ACADEMICS, STEM, THEATER ARTS, TEEN AND MENTORING PROGRAM AND PARENT EDUCATION AND SUPPORT, AT NO COST TO THE FAMILIES. NO LIMITS HAS PERFORMED IN OVER 180 PRODUCTIONS NATIONWIDE, WITH AN OUTREACH OF 1,000,000 IN 14 STATES. NO LIMITS FOR DEAF CHILDREN HAS HAD THE DISTINCT HONOR OF MAKING HISTORY BY PERFORMING AT THE PRESTIGIOUS JOHN F. KENNEDY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS AND THE HISTORIC VENUE, CARNEGIE HALL IN NEW YORK CITY.THE NO LIMITS PROGRAM WAS EXTENDED BEYOND THE THEATRICAL ARTS TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL AUDITORY, SPEECH, AND LANGUAGE TRAINING YEAR-ROUND WITH THE OPENING OF THE FIRST NO LIMITS EDUCATIONAL CENTER IN 2002. THE CENTER SERVES SCHOOL-AGE DEAF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES WHO ARE UNABLE TO FIND ASSISTANCE ELSEWHERE. THE AFTER-SCHOOL CENTER OFFERS INDIVIDUAL THERAPY, LITERACY CLASSES, ACADEMIC TUTORING, STEM, MUSIC AND ARTS ENRICHMENT, AND A LEADERSHIP AND MENTORING ACADEMY FOR DEAF TEENS. ADDITIONALLY, NO LIMITS PROVIDES WEEKLY PARENT EDUCATION CLASSES TO HELP FAMILIES LEARN THE TOOLS AND RESOURCES TO BEST HELP THEIR CHILD WITH A HEARING LOSS THROUGH THEIR SCHOOL AGE YEARS. AS A RESULT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE NO LIMITS PROGRAM, CHILDREN WITH A HEARING LOSS ARE LEARNING ESSENTIAL SKILLS THAT WILL HELP THEM TO ATTEND COLLEGE AND BECOME SUCCESSFUL, PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.HONORS AND RECOGNITION:*2023 - DR. MICHELLE CHRISTIE, RECIPIENT OF THE "TRUE INSPIRATION" AWARD BY CHICK 'FIL A, AMONG 4,300 APPLICANTS AND RECIPIENT OF THE LA 20250 GRANT CHALLENGE. *DR. MICHELLE CHRISTIE WAS SELECTED AS CNN HERO, UCLA EDUCAITONAL LEADERSHIP HERO AND HIDDEN HERO OF CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL.*DR. MICHELLE CHRISTIE RECEIVED THE "HUMANITARIAN AWARD" ALONGSIDE GEORGE W. BUSH BY THE STARKEY FOUNDATION.*NO LIMITS CHILDREN PERFORMED AT THE PRESTIGIOUS JOHN F. KENNEDY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS IN WASHINGTON D.C.*NO LIMITS RECEIVED THE GEORGE WASHINGTON MEDAL OF HONOR BY THE FREEDOM'S FOUNDATION. OTHER RECIPIENTS INCLUDED ASTRONAUT SCOTT GLENN AND JUDGE REHNQUIST.*NO LIMITS WAS FEATURED ON OPRAH AS A POSITIVE, UPLIFTING PROGRAM FOR DEAF CHILDREN.*NO LIMITS HAS BEEN THE SUBJECT OF FOUR DOCUMENTARIES FOR ITS REVOLUTIONARY TECHNIQUES IN TEACHING DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING CHILDREN AND HAS BEEN FEATURED ON CNN, NBC, ABC AND NEWSPAPERS AND MAGAZINES ACROSS THE COUNTRY INCLUDING A THREE PAGE SPREAD IN NEWSDAY, THE NEW YORK TIMES, WESTSIDE LIFE, THE NEW JERSEY STAR LEDGER, PARENTS MAGAZINE AND THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.*NO LIMITS WAS NAMED "BEST ARTS PROGRAM IN THE COUNTRY" BY PARENTS MAGAZINE.*NO LIMITS WAS HONORED AS ONE OF THE "TOP 100 HEROES" IN THE COUNTRY BY THE VOLVO FOR LIFE COMMITTEE.*DR.
