TO CONDUCT A BUSINESS LEAGUE IN THE FIELD OF SURGERY; TO ENGAGE IN RESEARCH AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELD OF SURGERY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE CAPABILITIES OF PERSONS PARTICIPATING IN THE PROFESSION AND TO PROVIDE MEANS OF FURTHERING PROFESSIONAL, TRAINING, DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNICAL BACKGROUND AND PROMOTING EDUCATION OF INDIVIDUALS IN TRAINING OR OTHERWISE EMPLOYED IN THE PROFESSION. THIS MISSION IS ACCOMPLISHED PRIMARILY BY CONDUCTING AN ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING CONSISTING OF SELECTED PRESENTATIONS CONTAINING THE MOST CURRENT INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON CLINICAL AND RESEARCH TOPICS RELATED TO SURGERY OR SURGICAL SPECIALTIES, INCLUDING STUDIES ON OUTCOMES, PRACTICE OF SURGERY AND ETHICAL AND OTHER ISSUES THAT AFFECT ITS PRACTICE.

ANNUAL MEETING - YEARLY CONFERENCE WHICH UPDATES MEMBERS OF NEW SURGICAL PROCEDURES AND TREATMENTS.


COMMITTEES - MEETINGS DURING THE YEAR BY VARIOUS MEMBERS WHICH ENHANCE THE MEMBERSHIP BY MANAGING ASSOCIATION AND KEEPING THE MEMBERS UPDATED REGARDING MEDICAL RELATED MATTERS.
