PROVIDE EDUCATION ABOUT FIRE PREVENTION AND REDUCTION OF FIRES. OBTAIN FUNDS VIA GRANTS AND DONATIONS TO PROVIDE FUEL REDUCTION IN AND SURROUNDING THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES WHICH REDUCES THE IMPACT OF FIRES IF THEY HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE.

IMPLEMENT THE MAMMOTH LAKES BASIN FUEL REDUCTION PROJECT STARTED IN THE FALL OF 2019 WITH 90% COMPLETION BY THE END OF 2019. 2020 WAS PLACED ON HOLD DUE TO COVID 19. FINAL 10% TO BE COMPLETED IN 2021 WITH ADDITIONAL GRANT FROM THE TOWN OF MAMMOTH LAKES AND DONATIONS FROM LA DEPARTMENT OF WATER AND POWER AND SOCAL EDISON.
