THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY MISSION IS AS A BARGAINING UNIT PROVIDING EMPLOYEE (MEMBER) REPRESENTATION AND SERVICES. AND TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY AND CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND FOSTER RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE POLICE AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

SUPPORT ACTIVITY FOR POLICE ASSOCIATION MEMBERS--BARGAINING UNIT ACTIVITIES, MEMBER INSURANCE EXPENSES, REPRESENTATION FOR EMPLOYEES DURING GRIEVANCE AND/OR DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS, COLLECT AND DISTRIBUTE P.O.R.A.C. MEMBERSHIP FEES AND LEGAL DEFENSE FUND, OTHER BENEFITS TO MEMBERS, SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY AND COMMUNITY CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND FOSTER RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE POLICE AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS.


IN 2020 BPPOA CONTRIBUTED FUNDS TO LOCAL CHARITIES INCLUDING YOUTH PROGRAMS, AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE, MOTHERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING, BOYS & GIRLS CLUB, GIVING CHILDREN HOPE AND LOCAL NEEDY INDIVIDUALS/FAMILIES.
