ORGANIZED AND FUNDED BY MEMBERS TO PROVIDE MEMBERS THE BENEFIT OF JOINING TOGETHER TO ENGAGE IN THE RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH SPORTS FISHING, INCLUDING TOURNAMENTS, TRIPS AND RECREATIONAL FISHING. THE CLUB HOLDS SPORTS FISHING PROGRAMS AND TOURNAMENTS FOR MEMBERS AND, IN LIMITED CASES, GUESTS AND FAMILY TO PARTICIPATE IN. THE CLUB ALSO SERVES TO PRESERVE THE RICH HISTORY OF THE TUNA CLUB ORGANIZATION THROUGH THE PRESERVATION AND DISPLAY OF ARTIFACTS THAT PROVIDE INSIGHT INTO FISHING AND SPORTS FISHING'S ORIGINS. ANOTHER GOAL OF THE FOUNDER OF THE TUNA CLUB IS TO PROMOTE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF FISH AND SPORTS FISHING IN THE CATALINA AREA, WHILE PROMOTING CONSERVATION.


TUNA CLUB PROVIDES TROPHIES, FLAGS, AND PRIZES FOR FIRST FISH CAUGHT IN VARIOUS CATEGORIES FOR THE YEAR, INCLUDING LARGEST GAME FISH CAUGHT WITH DACRON OR LINEN LINE, 8 LB TO 20 LB LINE WITH ROD AND REEL.
