THE PURPOSES OF THE CORPORATION ARE FRATERNAL, PATRIOTIC, HISTORICAL, CHARITABLE, AND EDUCATIONAL, AND ARE; TO PRESERVE AND STRENGTHEN COMRADESHIP AMONG ITS MEMBERS; TO ASSIST WORTHY COMRADES; TO PERPETUATE THE MEMORY AND HISTORY OF OUR DEAD, AND TO ASSIST THEIR WIDOWS AND ORPHANS; TO MAINTAIN TRUE ALLEGIANCE TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES, AND FIDELITY TO ITS CONSTITUTION AND LAWS; TO FOSTER TRUE PATRIOTISM; TO MAINTAIN AND EXTEND THE INSTITUTIONS OF AMERICAN FREEDOM; AND TO PRESERVE AND DEFEND THE UNITED STATES FROM ALL ENEMIES

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, PROMOTE PATRIOTIC PROGRAMS FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH CERTIFICATES OF MERIT AND MONETARY AWARDS FOR PATRIOT'S PEN AND VOICE OF DEMOCRACY WITH THE ABILITY TO ADVANCE TO VFW DEPARTMENT OR NATIONAL FOR MORE AWARDS. DURING PATRIOTIC HOLIDAYS WE PERFORM AND ASSIST LOCAL SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY WITH SAID EVENTS. WE PROVIDE TWO $500 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO GRADUATING SENIORS.


VFW POST HONOR GUARD AND COLOR GUARDS PERFORM IN ALL MADERA COUNTY MILITARY FUNERALS ON REQUEST. WE PARTICIPATE IN ALL PATRIOTIC HOLIDAYS (I.E., MEMORIAL, 4TH OF JULY, VETERANS, ETC...) WE COVER OVER 350 GRAVES WITH FLAGS AS WELL AS OVER 150 CEREMONIAL FLAGS AT THE COURTHOUSE PARK VENUE. WE PARTICIPATE IN 5 PARADES ANNUALLY.


THE HALL IS RENTED FOR PRIVATE EVENTS TO FUND THE MAINTENANCE OF THE BUILDING. CITY AND COUNTY AGENCIES HAVE FREE USE OF THE HALL FOR GOVERNMENT EVENTS (I.E., PRAYER BREAKFAST). LOCAL SCHOOL BOOSTERS, SCOUTS AND AA ALSO UTILIZE THE BUILDING. VETERANS ORGANIZATIONS AND AGENCIES ALSO UTILIZE THE HALL FOR LOCAL JOB FAIRS AND MILITARY STAND DOWNS. DURING THE HOLIDAYS WE PARTNER WITH LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND AGENCIES TO ASSIST NEEDY FAMILIES THROUGH FOOD, TOYS AND FINANCIAL DONATIONS FOR BOTH THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS.
