THE FOUNDATION'S MISSION IN TO INSTALL IN YOUNG PEOPLE AN APPRECIATION OF MUSIC FORM ALL CULTURES THROUGH INSTRUCTION IN TRADITIONAL CHINESE INSTRUMENTS. THE FOUNDATION PROMOTE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH OF LOW-INCOME FAMILIES TO RECEIVE MUSIC EDUCATION FROM PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS,PERFORM IN PUBLIC VENUES AND BECOME PROFICIENT MUSICIANS THEMSELVES.THE INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM HAS SUPPORTED THE FOLLOWING:THE GREAT WALL YOUTH ORCHESTRA AT LANEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE, OAKLAND MUSIC PROGRAMS DURING SCHOOL DAY AND AFTER SCHOOL HOURS AT THE VARIOUS K-12 SCHOOLS IN OAKLAND UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SAN FRANCISCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT.CONCERT PERFORMANCESRESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF BILINGUAL CHINESE CLASSROOM MUSIC MATERIALS
