IN ADDITION, THE NON-PROFIT EDUCATES LOCAL MAUI SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC ABOUT THE HAWAIIAN CULTURAL IMPORTANCE OF FISHPONDS AND HOW IT IS RELATED WITHIN THE HAWAIIAN AHUPUA`A SYSTEM. DURING THE YEAR, APPROXIMATELY 1,120 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN OUR EDUCATION AND/OR FISHPOND RESTORATION PROGRAMS.
