S&C PROGRAMS WERE ABLE TO SERVE APPROXIMATELY 2,780 STUDENTS AND PROVIDED OVER 4500 CLASS HOURS OF CREATIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN PERFORMANCE ARTS, CREATIVE ENGAGEMENT AND SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH AS WELL AS DEEP COMMUNITY BUILDING FOR ALL OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. WE SUCCESSFULLY TRANSITIONED FROM PROVIDING ALL REMOTE LEARNING CLASSES DURING FY21 BACK TO PROVIDING 100% IN-PERSON PROGRAMMING IN A SINGLE YEAR AND EVEN DOUBLED THE AMOUNT OF PARTNERS AND PROGRAMMING FROM FY20 (PRE-COVID) TO FY22. 13 OF OUR PARTNER SITES WERE ABLE TO HOLD CULMINATING PERFORMANCES FOR THEIR YOUTH, INCLUDING 2 PERFORMANCES OVER ZOOM FOR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITY TO SUPPORT. OF STUDENTS SURVEYED, 88% FELT THAT DESTINY ARTS CLASSES GAVE THEM A DEVELOPMENT OF MASTERY OVER THE ART FORM THEY WERE LEARNING.


RAN HIGH QUALITY & FINANCIALLY ACCESSIBLE MARTIAL ARTS, HIP HOP DANCE, AFRICAN DANCE, AND SUMMER CAMPS FOR 516 YOUTH AGED 3-18, CULMINATING IN TWO SEPARATE COMMUNITY SHOWCASES OF STUDENT WORK ATTENDED BY APPROXIMATELY 800 PEOPLE.


STUDENTS, IN COLLABORATION WITH A TEAM OF TEACHING ARTISTS ANDELDERS, CREATED A COMMUNITY SHOWCASE THAT WAS PERFORMED IN FRONT OF 1477 ATTENDEES. WE ALSO HAD OUR FIRST TEEN (13-18) COMPANY RETREAT IN TWO YEARS.
