THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PROVIDES LANGUAGE IMMERSION EDUCATION. SEE SCHEDULE O. THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PROVIDES A MULTICULTURAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT WHERE CHILDREN ARE FULLY IMMERSED IN THE SPANISH, JAPANESE OR CHINESE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE. CHILDREN BECOME FLUENT IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE, FEEL AT HOME IN OTHER CULTURES, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME ARE ENGAGED IN MATH, SCIENCE, SOCIAL STUDIES AND ARTS. THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL WAS FOUNDED IN 1990 WITH JUST 5 STUDENTS AND NOW EDUCATES NEARLY 400 STUDENTS.

ACADEMIC TERM - ENHANCED THE LEARNING CAPABILITIES OF A DIVERSE GROUP OF AMERICAN CHILDREN BY PROVIDING A CHALLENGING CURRICULUM, TAUGHT ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY IN SPANISH, CHINESE, OR JAPANESE. SUCCESS IN THIS PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE LIFE-LONG CONFIDENCE AND WILL CREATE A TRULY INTERNATIONAL CITIZEN, ABLE TO THRIVE AND COMPETE IN A GLOBALIZED ENVIRONMENT. APPROXIMATELY 327 STUDENTS BENEFITTED FROM THIS 9-MONTH PROGRAM.


SUMMER ACADEMY - PROVIDED A RICH AND CHALLENGING SUMMER CAMP ENVIRONMENT FOR AMERICAN CHILDREN TO DEVELOP SKILLS IN SPANISH, CHINESE OR JAPANESE, CREATING MORE CONFIDENT AND PRODUCTIVE CHILDREN THAT WILL RETAIN, EXPAND, AND REUSE THE SKILLS LEARNED FOR YEARS TO COME. APPROXIMATELY 79 STUDENTS BENEFITTED.


EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM - PROVIDED CONTINUED STUDENT ENRICHMENT THROUGH SUPERVISED ACTIVITIES IN MUSIC, ART, DANCE, AND HOMEWORK SUPPORT. APPROXIMATELY 59 STUDENTS BENEFITTED.
