PEDERSEN AND ALLIED FAMILIES FAMILY HISTORY PROJECT. GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH FOR THE PEDERSEN AND ALLIED FAMILIES WAS CARRIED OUT BY 10 VOLUNTEERS WORKING UNDER THE DIRECTION OF A PAID RESEARCH CONSULTANT SAMUEL PEDERSEN. PEDERSEN COMPLETED 200 BILLABLE HOURS AT $22 PER HOUR. MAHALA PEDERSEN ALSO PERFORMED RESEARCH AND COMPLETED 880 HOURS OF WORK COMPENSATED AT $25 PER HOUR. VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTED AN ADDITIONAL 520 HOURS TO THE PROJECT. THE SUM OF THESE EFFORTS RESULTED IN THE ADDITION OF 832 INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES BEING ADDED TO THE PEDERSEN AND ALLIED FAMILIES PEDIGREE.

PEDERSEN FAMILY MEMORIES PROJECT. DURING 2022 THE PEDERSEN CHARITABLE FOUNDATION PUBLISHED THE COLLECTED WRITINGS OF PEDERSEN FAMILY MEMBERS GILBERT AND ELREY PEDERSEN BROTHERS TO THE ORIGINAL FOUNDER OF THE PCF. WE JOINED IN A PROJECT TO DIGITALLY PUBLISH AND PRINT COPIES OF THESE JOURNALS AND BOOKS FOR FAMILY MEMBERS. THIS PROJECT CONTINUES INTO 2023. A TOTAL OF 150 VOLUNTEER HOURS WERE DONATED TO THE PROJECT DURING 2022
PEDERSEN GRAVESTONE AND GRAVESITE MAINTENANCE AND RESTORATION PROJECT. DURING 2022. VOLUNTEERS FROM THE PCF INSPECTED 6 CEMETARIES AND REHABILITATED 13 GRAVESTONES AND GRAVESITES MAINTENANCE WAS COMPLETED WHERE WARRANTED AND RESTORATIONS MADE AS NECESSARY. THIS WORK WAS DONE ON SITE BY SAMUEL MAHALA AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE PEDERSEN FAMILY INCLUDING ALL THE OFFICERS OF THE PCF. GRAVESITES VISITED AND RESTORED WERE IN THE EVANSTON WYOMING SPRINGFIELD ILLINOIS AND JACKSONVILLE FLORICA CITY CEMETARIES.
