CAMP EYABSUT - A WEEK LONG SUMMER CAMP FOR BURN SURVIVORS AGES 5-17. WE PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION, FOOD, LODGING, AND VARIOUS ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK TO KIDS, VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF MEMBERS. WE ALSO SEND STAFF TO WORLD BURN CONGRESS AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BURN CAMPS CONFERENCE.

EMERGENCY HOUSING - WE SPONSOR TWO APARTMENTS FOR BURN PATIENTS' FAMILIES WHILE THE PATIENT IS RECEIVING BURN CARE AND TREATMENT OR WHILE THE PATIENT IS BEING HOUSED IN HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER'S INTENSIVE CARE UNIT. IT HAS BEEN SHOWN THAT PEOPLE HEAL FASTER WITH LOVED ONES VISITING AND INTERACTING DURING THE CARE ROUTINE, WHICH EQUALS LESS TIME IN THE HOSPITAL AND A FASTER RECOVERY FOR THE PATIENT TO RETURN TO "NORMAL" LIFE CARE AND ROUTINES.
