CLUB CONCERTS & MEMBER ACTIVITIESCONCERTS WERE PRESENTED ON AN EVERY OTHER WEEK BASIS ON ZOOM DUE TO COVID 19 CONCERNS. NO FEE IS CHARGED FOR THESE CONCERTS. UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES ADMISSION IS OPEN TO MEMBERS, GUESTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
EMERGING ARTISTS PROGRAMTHIS IS A PROGRAM TO ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT YOUNG MUSICIANS BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, SPECIAL INSTRUMENTS IN THEIR FIELD OF CHOICE, AND CONTACTS IN THE WORLD OF MUSICIANSHIP. THREE AWARDS WERE GIVEN THIS YEAR. NORMALLYTHESE AWARDS ARE GIVEN ON AN EVERY OTHER YEAR BASIS BUT DUE TO THE LACK OF AWARDS DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC, AWARDS WERE GIVEN THIS YEAR
VAN WAYNEN AWARDSTHIS IS A PERFORMANCE COMPETITION FOR YOUNG MUSICIANS. THERE ARE OFTEN UP TO 30 COMPETITORS. A JURIED PANEL EVALUATES THE PERFORMANCES AND AWARDS ARE GIVEN BOTH FINANCIAL AND GENERAL RECOGNITION FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE. AWARD WINNERS ARE INVITED TO PERFORM AT A SPECIAL PERFORMANCE AT THE CLUBHOUSE FACILITY WHICH IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. THERE WERE THREE AWARDS GIVEN THIS FISCAL YEAR.
