RETAIL PROGRAMS: COST EFFECTIVE SOCIAL ENTERPRISE FOR COLLECTION, PROCESSING AND SALES OF USED GOODS, PROVIDING PAID WORK EXPERIENCE AND JOB SKILLS TRAINING FOR PEOPLE WITH CHALLENGING AND SEVERE BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT. THIS COST EFFECTIVE BUSINESS PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE DISCONNECTED FROM THE WORKFORCE AND, BECAUSE OF THE NATURE OF THE BUSINESS IT PROMOTES GOODWILL OF SILICON VALLEY GREEN INITIATIVE DIVERTING 35 MILLION LBS OF TRASH FROM OUR LANDFILLS ANNUALLY.


MISSION SERVICES: ADULT PROGRAMS - SERVING INDIVIDUALS WITH BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT PROVIDE CASE MANAGEMENT, JOB COACHING, PEER MENTORING, PAID WORK EXPERIENCE, EMPLOYABILITY WORKSHOPS, VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND JOB SEARCH AND PLACEMENT SERVICES. THIS SAME POPULATION IS PROVIDED WITH SUPPORT SERVICES THAT INCLUDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR HOUSING, TRANSPORTATION, FOOD AND PSYCHOLOGY AND PSYCHIATRY SERVICES. YOUTH PROGRAMS: ON-CAMPUS AT 8 HIGH SCHOOLS, GOODWILL SERVES STUDENTS THAT ARE AT-RISK OF NOT COMPLETING HIGH SCHOOL AND/OR RECEIVING THEIR DIPLOMA. THE PROGRAMS PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT, ACADEMIC LEARNING, CREDIT RECOVERY, ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES AND A HOT MEAL. TOTAL PEOPLE RECEIVING SERVICES FROM GOODWILL IN 2021 WAS 14,000. CONSISTENT WITH 2020 BECAUSE OF THE IMPACT OF COVID.
